Description The team & opportunity: Our newly formed Energy & Utilities business is seeking a Zero Harm Manager to join our NZ Networks team. This is a full-time permanent role that will ideally be based in Wellington, New Plymouth or Hamilton with regular travel required across the North Island. You will be responsible for leading and implementing Downer's Zero Harm standards and processes tailored to our business needs.
You will work closely with the NZ Networks operational team to enable the conditions for our teams to thrive whilst performing work successfully without harm to people or the communities and environments in which we work. Our ideal candidate: You will have a passion for safety and a demonstrated ability to lead a team, deliver on improvements and make a positive impact on the business to facilitate Zero Harm success. Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience as a Health, Safety and Environment professional.
Experience and demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of safety professionals. Exposure to high-risk industries, preferably construction, infrastructure or utilities. Ability to develop and translate relevant Zero Harm strategy into implementable actions.
Experience leading audits and preparation of corrective actions and reports. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Whats in it for you?
